This was one of the few doramas I have watched back in 2011 and I re-watched it again this year so I decided to REVIEW it. I'm not a girl who watches many doramas or dramas, I get waaay too much drama in my life (if you know what I mean), everyday is something new and it´s very tiring sometimes, but oh well, you gotta live it.  

Getting back on my review, this dorama surely lives up to the anime and kinda does too for the manga. I have seen the anime first and read a few chapters of the manga to say that it really stick to its name. The thrilling part is, of course, the characters are played by real people, duh! And what makes this dorama special is that they are pretty much animelized (meaning that the reactions and other actions made by the actors are seen in the anime) which some of the new doramas lack. I know they are people and you can´t have the exaggerated reactions anime have, but an actor has to give the public, the impression of his character, even if it means mimicking an animated being. 

The Wallflower is a great live action of the anime and manga, the actors know how to interpret their characters; Aya Oomasa does an incredible job performing the role of Sunako, I was barely able to tell whether she was the Sunako from the anime or the Sunako in the live action, even their look are similar (not clothes); when the live-action-Sunako had to talk to her "friends" a skeleton named Josephine and two anatomic figures, Hiroshi and Akira, she was very creepy but so into character showing so much emotion and love for them, also when she had to come across Kyouhei (played by Kazuya Kamenashi) or any of the other "mabushii" creatures (Yukinojo played by Yuya Tegoshi, Takenaga played by Hiroki Uchi and Ranmaru played by Shuntarou Miyao) the "too bright" scene was greatly played; not only the main stars of the show were great but also the "minor" characters such as Hoshino Aki, who played Mari in this dorama, were simply awesome. 

The main song of the dorama was performed by KAT-TUN, "Love Yourself" was not the original video, only the song was used, but it features the main characters dancing in a show stage while looking gorgeous and full of charisma.       

I am not strictly comparing both manga and anime to the live action since the live action has the "living" material in it and it will differ in some aspects, such as ambiance, scenery and acting in specifically places (the first time the boys meet Sunako is outside in daylight while drinking tea and freakin´out about her...  in the live action they meet her inside the house at night while panicking about her outline in the dark; that and so many other non-exact situations are not reviewed) making it rather hard to compare.

Overall, this dorama deserve to be watched. It has very little drama (you won´t cry...I guess??) , great acting level, good looking actors (if you like to fangirl), funny situations and a bit of the creepy factor.

[Culture] ❤ Korea ❤ What jajangmyeon tastes like

The origins of this dish aren´t really Korean, but I'm not here to give you a history lesson, instead I like to invite you reader, to try it. 

I have been to a lot of real Korean and Chinese restaurants before (not in Korea nor China, but...),  I did try this a lot of times and the best taste of this korean-chinese dish was in a Korean-Chinese restaurant. Why? I have absolutely no idea. The flavors in that Korean-Chinese restaurant was and still is one of the best. The other restaurants simply lacked something in their ingredients, some of them were too salty, some other were too watery, the meat used wasn´t soft, the vegetables weren´t properly cooked or the noodles were too chewy. 

But what does it taste like? It´s kind of hard to describe in words how great the "real" flavor of this dish is, the black looking sauce is made of black soybeam paste and when you don´t add a lot of water when preparing it, it tastes very, very salty and it just taste awful, imagine drinking a mixture of salt with a few drops of water. Eww, right? 

Sometimes they put pork meat in this dish, other times they might put seafood, like shrimp; the important thing for this dish to be great (talking only about the meat, of course) is the quality of the meat, a soft and tender meat is ideal for this dish because it contrasts the vegetables which add the crunchy vibe, they normally use onions, cabbages, potatoes and rarely zucchinis. Now, the noodles are regular noodles, they can be seem as Japanese udon noddles and they taste pretty much like udon, so no need to explain about them. 

The flavor of this dish is not too salty, it has the neutral flavor, meaning that is not sweet and not seasoned (salt & spices) at the same time, it is very enjoyable, almost relaxing.  

Jajangmyeon might look horrible to some picky people and I agree, this dish is not beautiful to the sight but it does taste marvelous.

Japan has always been famous for its culture: for their dorama, anime, manga, jpop videos or songs, weird fashion, futuristic technology and overall a country that surpasses reality.

But aren´t we forgetting something? Japan still has its traditions and customs, not everything we see in the doramas, the manga or even the anime we watch are real about Japan. So today I am going to talk about one of their traditions. 

The Japanese Tea Ceremony.

The names in japanese for this Tea Ceremony are: Chanoyu, Chado or Sado and Ocha (which literally means Tea) and in it a host or hostess prepares and serves powered green tea (also called Matcha) to guests. This kind of ceremony requires great discipline and the host or hostess must master the procedures to prepare and serve the tea in the presence of guests, but not only that, they must, as well, learn to appreciate art, poetry, calligraphy, how to arrange flower,  cook and at the same time attend to other´s needs. Sure it is not an easy job. That´s what makes it so beautiful. 

The Way of Tea is made to emphasize the world around the participants,  meaning they need to focus their attention on nature and its surroundings: the sound of water or rain, the smell of the room, the light and glow of the charcoal fire, the beauty of the instruments utilized when preparing and serving the tea and the most important one: to not be distracted by mundane thoughts.  

Now here are some utensils (called Dōgu) used in The Way of Tea.
